I just tried to sign up for this site, and all I can say is wow. I don't see how anyone can put up with doing business with them. Every other click you make brings you something else to sign up for. Registering with them was pure hell. They try to make you sign up for about 100 spam mailing lists that you don't want. You just have to keep clicking "No" over and over again. Even if you manage to click No for all of them, they come back and tell you that you must sign up for at least 1. I did, hoping that the deluge of adds would end after I signed up. Nope. Everything you try to do one the site is accompanied by them trying to trick you into signing up for spam.
This site may give decent payouts, but with all the adds/spam/popups that they put you through, it just isn't worth it to me. Anyone have any thoughts about this site?

I've not had bad luck with Memolink

Postby FreePaidSurveys » Thu Aug 04, 2005 1:03 pm

I don't do any of the offers, just the free stuff - surveys, trivia, read the memomail and do the lotto. Takes a long time to rack up enough points, but still get a gift certificate once in a while. I think maybe I need to change the link that I'm using to get to it. I've never had to accept an offer for anything. I'll check it out and either change the link or dump them if it's just a bunch of annoying stuff. Maybe they've changed their signup since I joined.

That seems likely, that they've changed the group sign up. I can't imagine you recommending it if you had to go through those millions of adds too  . The lotto seems ok, but I can't think of how they could possibly afford to give out 1 million dollars if someone actually won it. Since it's a daily chance to win a million, something seems fishy about it. I dunno. Do they have a winners page on the site where anyone has won before? I think if it's possible to win, then the lotto is worth doing. A free chance at $1 million every day is nice, no matter how small a chance at winning.

The lotto is through iWon.com

Postby FreePaidSurveys » Thu Aug 04, 2005 3:14 pm

The lotto is actually iWon.coms million dollar lotto, it's not actually owned by memolink. You've probably seen ads for iWon, they're a homepage alternative.

Also, I looked into the Memolink site, they've just redone it. Works a lot better and looks nicer. Had to send them an email for a referral link. Once I get it I'll see what page it takes me to and make sure there's not tons of ads. Places like this will pop ads at you all over the place, but I just close them out and do the stuff I was going to do. But I think the page I had it set to for the signup was one of those really annoying pages that make you feel like you have to accept something.

Once I see where the new link takes me, I'll see if it's still worth listing.

Thanks again for your input.
