Here is the email I got from them, I have to say I am diasappointed and guess I'll focus more of my efforts on my more consistent survey earners. Geez...


"A cash plus incentive plan is quickly being adopted by the majority of our members. In this plan, members are compensated with a $3 cash incentive for each completed survey and entered into a bi-weekly sweepstake for a chance to win $500. In addition, members are entered into the bi-weekly sweepstakes every time that they complete household questions, which were formerly uncompensated.

Soon this plan will be the only incentive plan offered by PineCone Research and the number of available spaces on this panel are quickly filling up. If you elect to switch to this group, you will receive surveys as usual. Each time that you complete a survey, you will receive $3 cash and be entered into a sweepstakes as well as being entered into the sweepstakes for every occasion for answering household questions. If you elect to remain in the $5 group, you should know that we will be gradually phasing out this compensation plan. As this occurs, it is likely that survey requests will become less frequent and eventually stop. We value your participation and would like to make sure you are offered the chance to continue your membership in a satisfactory way.

Yup, that's the reason why i quit PineCone.

I was disappointed that they reduced the pay...but $3 is reasonable depending on the time it takes to take a survey. $3 for a survey that's 30 minutes or less is fine for me (I won't take one that doesn't pay at least that much). I can't remember how long their surveys generally took, though, because their surveys don't seem to work on Firefox or Safari and I don't have a Windows browser to access them by.
