OTX.com has relaunched their site, and their new name, and I quess we will all have to wait and see if it is any better. It is still run by the same people,ie; emma is still the same person to contact if you have problems, So I really can't see where there is going to be much room for improvement but I will be glad to hold off for now on saying too much. Let's just give them some time to try out their shall we say kinks  and hope for the best.

They are screwing me out of almost 100,000 points!!! They claim I have never had a membership with them!!! I just sent off a buncha emails from their site where I have made cash-outs for amazon gift certificates in the past as proof of my membership....I suppose they think we are all a buncha dummies and don't keep copies of such transactions...As a matter of fact the last cash-out I rec'd was on March 22,2007 and it came from Emma at the new site "Survey Exchange"!!! So why is she saying I don't have an account there??? I don't understand why they can't just simply transfer the old database over to the new system so there would be less confusion???

They have done nothing but play head games for several months now (at least IMHO) the site has been going down-hill for quite awhile...

If I manage to get my points back I plan on cashing out all of my points and wash my hands of them....

Just my 2 cents here...I may have to contact survey police...

I had the same problem with them to start but when I forwarded proof to them, they transferred my points to the new site. One reason it pays to keep records especially when you have had problems with a certain site.

I have forwarded a bunch of proof emails to them me and they are still saying I was never a member...I just sent them a copy of a cash-out on the 22 of March....Barely 3 weeks ago...

Cindy..How much arguing did you have to do with them to get your points back???

This is the reply I just rec'd from Emma Or Enema or Whatever....as well as my reply back to her....They just don't wannna pay me such a high amount of points that I had already earned....This is just a way of cheating me outta my points....They have always had issues and continue to have issues...One hand doesn't know what the other is doing...

posted about what we will find.

Thank you for your patience,
Emma

Emma...That is BULL!!! I just made a cash-out on the 22nd of March...If I am no longer a member it is because YOU took my membership away and cheated me out of my points!!!

This is a load of crap and others at the forums I am a member of are saying the same thing. Once again your site has messed up and the members have to suffer for it.

Do you think I would leave such a large amount of points in my account and just never come back??

Yes I have been a member for over 2 years now. You didn't have the decency to even contact members and let them know things were changing!!!

I want my points re-instated!!! Your records are wrong!!!!

Another reply back from Emma since I sent the nasty email off to her.....

I am trying to help you and have just told you that we are looking into
this problem. We may have made a mistake, in which case we will of
course re-instate your account.

Thank you,
Emma

Here's an email I received today:

Dear member,

The entire OTX team and myself would like to thank you for being an active participant of the Survey Exchange program.

We launched the site OTX Survey Exchange almost three years ago, and since, you have given your opinion in more than 3,000 different surveys. Your opinion has helped shape new products, new movies and new services now present around the world.

In the past few days, you may have noticed our gradual migration to a new platform which, we hope, will help provide you with a better experience. In a few words, here is what we are trying to accomplish with this migration:

more surveys available for you: we know that it is frustrating to be invited to take a survey and not be able to take it because your profile does not qualify, or the quotas for your profile are already closed. We hope that our new platform will allow us to better target the right participants we need for each survey so that your chances to qualify increase. We cannot promise that you will qualify every time you are invited, but we promise to do our best.
more choice for rewards: we have strengthened our partnership with Hallmark RewardChoice to make sure that you can choose your favorite gift card among more than 350 popular stores. Under our new agreement with our partner, RewardChoice gift cards will all be in store at any time, so you don't have to worry any more about being able to redeem your points or not.
and more rewards: we have also decreased the minimum number of points necessary to redeem your rewards. We now offer a $5 RewardChoice certificate redeemable for 4,500 points, in addition to the $10 RewardChoice certificate, still redeemable for 8,000 points.
better communication: in order to better communicate changes, we have created a blog that we will update every time we have something to announce. Please take a minute to check and read for any current updates. As our new platform will be slightly different from the older one, we have started to post updates about the differences to help you get used to the changes.

As part of the transition, we have renamed the site and URL to make it easier for you to find us. You told us that OTXSX was too complicated to remember, and you were right, so our site is now just called "Survey Exchange".

Check out the new Survey Exchange

We are doing our best to complete the migration as quickly as possible, but some of you may experience some issues trying to login or redeem your points. If you experience any issue, please be patient and bare with us as we are fine-tuning the new system.

Note that your login and password remain unchanged. The number of points in your account and the value of points in the system remain also unchanged.

We hope that you will like our new platform and continue to give us your opinion in the future.

Sincerely,
Emma

***Just so you know too, the referral program is gone now!

I didn't have to do very much at all. I sent in a copy of my last survey page that I printed when I finished it and that was all I needed. They credited me with all my points.I have kept records of finishing my surveys like that because I had a number of times they tried to tell me that I didn't complete a survey so I didn't deserve a point award ect.., so I just started doing that with them on every survey and now I keep folder with their name on it and after each survey I do for them , I print the completion page and the award page and in it goes. So Ms Emma didn't have a microchip to stand on :)

My final email from Emma stated that either I unsubscribed from the site (yeah...right...I am gonna unsubscribe from a site where I have over 50,000 points!!! )Not!!! Or their fraud team unsubscribed me!!!

How the hell do you commit fraud when all you are doing is submitting your opinions??? There are no right or wrong answers with opinions...I told Emma if they are accusing me of fraud...Then PROVE IT!!!! Guess what??? I have yet to see any proof from them where I have commited fraud!!! Needless to say Emma did admit that they were able to find where I did have over 50,000 points...However they refuse to re-instate my points!!! I honestly earned those points and I gained alot of those points by way of my 9 referrals that I had signed-up under me...

Bottom line is: they just don't wanna pay me and I have come to the conclusion OTX/Survey Exchange is a dishonest site with little or no integrity...Let em have the points as apparently they need the points worse than I do!!

I don't blame you, a family member of mine had an account member with them as well, which I refered them to them, and they have refused to give me the points from all of the all of the referal surveys.Which isn't right under their rules the same person can have more than one account, not to mention different family members!I guess I am just fortunate that I had the documentation to back up my surveys or I wouldn't have even gotten the points that I did :!: Oh and by the way, I hope Ms. Emma is still watching and reading all of the post reguarding these matters as well! Maybe she will do something about the way the site is run and run this next one better! All I know is If I do any surveys I will keep VERY good records as I did before :!:

Let's just put this way, There is nothing in their old rules that prohihited it. But it does make it very confusing when you do have 2 people in the same house that have the same (or close to same first name). I go by Cindy, and my family member (not a blood relative) goes by Cynthia. This is one of the few panels we can both sign up for when we do the surveys we do them about our seperate familys like we didn't live together, since the only thing we actually share is the roof over our heads everything else is bought seperately.

It is my understanding that 2 people from the same household can participate if they have seperate email accounts...That is basically all I know about that....
