OTX Removing Refer a Friend?

Anyone else get this email message recently from OTX?

Thank you for being a part of OTX Survey Exchange. Your opinions continue to make a difference in the products and services you use everyday. We wanted to let you know that there are some exciting changes coming. To prepare for the changes, we are adjusting the way some features have operated in the past. The first change is that the refer-a-friend program will be ending immediately. You won't get points for future referral activity, but you will keep all of the points you have received for past referral activity.

Well, this doesn't bode well for "New and exciting changes" to come.

Haven't rec'd that email as of yet...However...I have grown more and more disappointed with OTX and I am seroiusly considering cashing out all of my accured points there and washing my hands of them...The surveys now only pay 1,000 points instead of 2,000 and it seems as though it is growing harder to even qualify for the surveys...

At one time OTX was one of my favorite sites...All good things must come to an end...

Something of interest with OTX is that when other sites (mainly GlobalTestMarket or SurveySpot, for me) offer OTX surveys, the payout is still around $2.50, compared to the $1.25 for doing a survey directly with OTX (1000 points = $1.25). It doesn't seem like a way for a survey site to attract a lot of interest relative to other sites. *Sigh*

I emailed them too since I couldn't redeem my points or add anymore referrals! I've emailed again to see if the referral program will come back - I have about 20 people to refer so I hope they do.

When asked if the referral program would be back, this was my response:

When the new program is ready to be launched, you will receive
a message from OTX with all the exciting details.

I wonder what the EXCITING DETAILS are!!! Please post when/if you hear about them as I'm holding my breath..... :roll:
