Happygal, I would love to know how you do it. You've had a few great months lately. Now, do your totals below mean that is what you earned for May or are they the actual funds that you received for that month. I've been keeping track of what I earn for the month and then I just check off each one as the money comes in. But for May, I earned $39.45.

yeah, same here. It's been 3 months since I'm into paid surveys yet the only place that's offering cash rewards is SurveySpots and I've only received $20 from all of the surveys I've done.... Do you mind if you tell me which paid survey sites you've joined that gives cash rewards? Is it becaues I live in Canada, there's less opportunity for me? +_+;

BTW, great job on your efforts for those surveys! =)

That is cash (or gift cards) in hand.

How I track it is to file all gift card codes in a file in my e-mail and then look back at them. Also, I have a savings account just for my survey money, so I look at the deposits at the end of the month, and then I just review my paypal money (as some pay that way).

How do I do it? I don't know, I guess I am a surveyors dream...a shopaholic with kids, and a home, who does the grocery shopping, lives in a major metropolitan area, works out of the home, etc.? I have no idea. That said, this took time. I have been doing surveys actively for over a year and my first few months were definitely more along the lines of $20-40. Hang in there. There are no guarantees in this realm, but it's worth a shot :)

Length of time is key

The length of time is key. When I first started out things were pretty slow. It really did take close to a year for things to really get rolling.

Happygal, I'm wondering which survey sites you get most of the money from. The ones that I find best are OTX, Keynote, and Global test market. I'm asking to make sure I'm signed up with the best sites out there. Thanks.

I don't have a good sense of how much money has actually come in, but I do know how much I've earned this month - It's been about $275, all total (Both GCs and $$$). A better than average (although not best) month for me. Also, I haven't had an lengthy on site testing panel offers or online discussion/bulletin board surveys this month, which kept it a good month as oppossed to downright awesome.

I know I have to do something different in terms of organizing my earnings to be able to reflect when I actually get compensated for a survey. I like happygal's method of having a seperate savings account exclusively for surveys. Currently, I have a simple Excel spreadsheet, but I'm busy trying to get competent enough in Access so I can have better filter options. Here's also a general breakdown of the panels which paid out what (not an exhaustive list, I'm not bothering to reflect those sites that paid less than $5):

$25 or more: ACOP, BzzAgent; GlobalTestMarket; Survespot; Socratic Forum; TestSpin

$15-$24: BrandInstitute; Mindfield; Sage Research; Your2Cents

$5-$14: Buzzback; Columbia Research; Greenfield; Lightspeed; OTX

I would have to say it varies from month to month. This past month, MySurvey, SurveySavvy (as I cashed out), Cunningham Research and Focus Forward were best for me.

But that really isn't always the case. It's such a game of ups and downs.

May earnings

Postby Michelleivey » Mon Jun 05, 2006 6:08 pm

May earnings include:

$14 from Survey Savvy, Hubby did focus group - $150 (2 hours), I did medical phone interview $75, Focus group - $65 and Small Business - $10. So a total of $314! Didn't do as well last month - so there's no guarantees!

Survey Savvy, Pinecone, Opinion Outpost, Lightspeed, Epoll, Harris, and Global are some of the best and most trustworthy one's out there. Also focus groups are a fast and easy way to make some money. I've been doing them for over 3 years and they're really fun! PM me if you want the one's for your state - I've been researching them for over 3 years so have almost all the states.

I agree, it takes some time - approx. 6 mos. to really get a foothold, and then demographics make a HUGE difference too! Good luck!

Thanks Happygal, and you did very well too! I wish it was like this every month, but I average $130/mo so far this year. Is that about what you're doing or are you averaging more? Do you do this FT or PT? I work FT, so can only devote about 10 hours of this per week.

Oh gosh no, I have a full time job outside the house, so I do this first thing in the morning for a few seconds to try to get into any open surveys I have, over my lunch hour for a few more minutes and then at the end of the evening. I spend about 30 minutes on it, tops, a day, unless I get an interactive that requires more time by it's design.

The last few months my average has been over $300, but I am just waiting for a dry spell to come on after that. I have been lucky to get at least one higher paying interactive each month so that helps.

Ohhh! I do mine on lunch and after work, but mostly on Sat. Just out of curiosity, Happygirl, what state are you in? I'm in MN - not far from the Mall of America.
